Topper Customization: Process and Conditions

 

Why We Offer Custom Cuts and Coloring
Our purpose is to  EASE THE DIFFICULT JOURNEY.

Many consumers struggle to find skilled stylists who can customize toppers and wigs effectively. By offering this service, we can fulfill our mission of helping more women dealing with hair loss.


We've partnered with a top stylist who specializes in customizing toppers and wigs. With years of experience working with our products, our stylist knows Dimples Hair inside and out. We strive to keep costs low and offer free ground shipping for this service.

How it Works
When you purchase a Dimples human hair topper, you'll see various customization options at checkout, such as bang cuts, root coloring, highlighting, etc. You can choose one or multiple services. All customizations are completed in the USA.

The Topper Customization Journey

There are 2 ways to customize your topper:

Option 1: Customization After Purchase

  1. Purchase your Dimples topper and add customization consultation services at checkout. If you’re unsure what to purchase, book a Free Education/Product Help Consultation here.
  2. Receive the topper and decide within 3 days if you want to keep it.
  3. A Dimples Hair Consultant will reach out to you to ask you if your topper is a keeper.
    1. If yes, we’ll email you two shipping labels: one for sending the package to our stylist and another for the return shipment back to you. Simply place the return label in the box. Dimples will cover all ground shipping costs. 
    2. If not, we’ll find you a suitable item to exchange.
  4. Ship the topper to our stylist using the prepaid shipping label.
  5. If you haven’t already done this, make sure to book a consultation with our stylist where you can share inspirational pictures of how you want your hair to look.
  6. Debora will work her magic to customize your topper just the way you want it. Before you know it, your topper will be back in your hands—beautifully styled and ready to wear!

Option 2: Pre-Purchase Consultation (Recommended)

  1. Book a consultation with our stylist before purchasing to ensure you choose the perfect size and color. 
  2. During the session, you can share your style vision and inspiration photos to ensure your topper is tailored just for you.
  3. Purchase your topper with chosen customization options at checkout.
  4. Receive the topper and decide within 3 days if you want to keep it. Need a little extra customization? No problem! Book another consultation with Debora to perfect your look.
  5. Ship the topper to Debora for customization, and soon it will be back in your hands—styled, customized, and ready to wear! (see above directions)

Timing

The process may take up to 22 days, (excluding delays due to shipping, holidays, or bad weather). If you’re closer to Dimples in L.A. or Debora in Seattle, your shipping times may be quicker.

  • Free Ground Shipping from Dimples to You: Up to 5 business days
  • Free Ground Shipping from You to Debora: Up to 5 business days
  • Customization by Debora (Cutting/Styling/Coloring): Up to 7 days after consultation
  • Free Ground Shipping Back to You: Up to 5 business days

Pro Tip for Faster Turnaround

If you're a returning customer and 100% confident in your topper’s color and style, you can request direct shipping to Debora for customization. This option saves time but waives your right to a refund or exchange.

Product Customization Conditions

  • No Returns or Exchanges After Customization

    You can only return or exchange the topper within 3 days of receiving it from Dimples before it is sent to the stylist. If you had a consultation before purchasing, your topper should be right. 
  • Service Availability
    Customization is available only for customers in the Continental USA. If you add customization and live outside this area, you will be refunded minus a 3% restocking fee. Or, reach out us, we can ship the item directly to Debora and she can style/cut/color, but this waives your return/exchange (see Pro-Tip Faster Turnaround)
  • New Purchases Only
    Customization is only available for newly purchased Dimples human hair toppers and is not available for Dimples wigs (yet). But if you are buying a Dimples wig and you need custom services, please reach out to us, and we'll let you know how we can help.
  • Additional Customization Requests
    If you want additional customizations after receiving your topper—like adding more blonde highlights—you can request them within 14 days. Please note that extra services and shipping costs will apply. To arrange this, contact us through the Dimples Shop Chat or email us here.

Shipping Information

  • Free Ground Shipping
    We cover the shipping costs for the entire journey—from Dimples to you, from you to our stylist, and back to you.
  • Expedited Shipping
    If you need faster shipping, you will be responsible for all three shipping fees.
  • Shipping Insurance
    We recommend ensuring your order with ROUTE shipping at checkout. With it, your item will be insured during its journey.
